New Album Pozible Campaign!

One for One Tour!

The Strides One for One Tour 2013_Flyer
'One for One' is our newest new single and the first taste of our forthcoming third album, set for early 2014 release. 'One for One' showcases the talents and rhymes of LTL Gzeus alongside the incredible vocals of future-soul rising star Ngaiire, in a song about self-realisation, self-discovery, and coming to terms with a new world that is not what you expected. It’s a mark of that time in your life when everything is still new and curiosity has its first real go at you. The life you learn is not the life you know. One for the money, one for the lovin' – ‘One for One’.

‘One for One’ is out Friday 26 July through Earshift Records.

Two new great reviews!!!!

The Strides "Reclamation" CD receives 3 1/2 stars in a recent SMH and The Australian review.

Here's some highlights:

…The Strides are to be considered a serious challenger to the Cat Empire and company. ...

…the fact it weaves reggae rhythms and rapping into its fresh and funky 50-50 mix of songs and instrumentals stamps it more the Aussie equivalent of Kiwi juggernaut Fat Freddy's Drop.

The band's potent three-piece brass section stretches out stylishly when unleashed in the afrobeat infused instrumentals, that constitute album highlights.

…wasting no time in following up their impressive self-titled debut, Sydney's The Strides return with frisk in their gait for eight new tunes straddling dub to Afrobeat, hip-hop to exotic jazz.

Considered the best group in the current international reggae scene, Californian-based Groundation is hitting Australia’s shores for the first time, touring with highly acclaimed sixth album, Here I Am. Formed in 1998, Groundation's sound is an organic fusion of classic roots reggae, heavy funk/jazz fusion, and transcendental dub. Their live shows are synonymous with high-energy positive communal vibrations, combining the message and determination of the best reggae music has to offer with perpetually fresh jazz-inspired improvisation ... Truly not to be missed.

The Strides Deserves Radio Support!! - writes a reviewer from the Sydney Morning Herald

The Strides debut self titled CD receives 3 1/2 stars in a recent SMH review.

Here's some highlights:

...a whole lot of soul and an affable dub swagger - a la Fat Freddy's Drop...

The Strides are shuffling on a dusty dancefloor with a hip-hop MC and kicking up bare heels for some Afrobeat unrest.

They deliver a singalong pop-reggae gem that really deserves radio support."
